Hello Russell, I cycled to Perth and back from Brisbane via Alice Springs but only stayed on the tarmac with road-houses! I thought that was brave and only dreamed of going 'off-road'. It's an amazing thing you are doing and just think no carbon emissions. Will be keeping tabs on your journey and all the best. You will never look at water and food in quite the same way again after you get home...or your bicycle.
